Gymnastics Drill Demonstration

Description

  • From a short run and hurdle step dive forwards to place hands, a shoulder width apart, on to the box top.
  • Keeping legs extended and the hips high bring feet outside of hands in a straddle position.
  • Lift head and land on mat with knees and hips flexed.

    Coaching points

  • Keep arms and legs extended.
  • Fingers forward.
  • Hips high.
  • Lift head to avoid forward rotation.
