Gymnastics Drill Demonstration

Description

  • Starting in an extended position sit and rock back.
  • Place hands on mat, close to the ears, with fingers pointing towards shoulders.
  • Rotate backwards in tuck position
  • Push on arms to allow weight to pass over head.
  • Stand without knees touching mat.

    Coaching points

  • Body to stay tucked throughout.
  • Hands must be flat by ears with fingers pointing towards shoulders.
  • Encourage strong arm push.
  • Build up speed
