Gymnastics: Shoulder balance exit to three point knee balance

DESCRIPTION

  • From a shoulder balance, pull one knee down onto the floor beside an ear (e.g. right knee by right ear).
  • Roll over the right shoulder and take weight on both hands whilst keeping the non-supporting leg high to create a three point knee balance.
  • COACHING POINTS

  • High hips and good body extension during shoulder balance.
  • Push hips up with hands.
  • During knee balance ensure the head is up and the raised leg is straight with good ankle extention.
