DESCRIPTION

  • On a padded inclined bench the teacher supports the pupil through the roll by lifting the hips and ensuring that the head is tucked.
  • COACHING POINTS

  • Ensure the bench is on a gentle incline.
  • Pupil walks on toes with legs straight to gain a high hips position
  • Arms are bent and the teacher gentile pushes the back off the head allowing the pupil to roll on to the top of the shoulders.
  • Roll is completed in a sitting position with straight legs.
