Gymnastics Drill Demonstration

Description

  • Stretch arms above head and slowly descend until fingers touch the mat.
  • Keep legs straight.
  • Feet should be sufficiently apart to allow pupil to touch the mat with their finger tips.
  • Slowly straighten to stand.

    Coaching points

  • Allow pupils to hang with their fingers just touching the mats for the count of five.
  • Straighten uncoiling one vertebra at a time.
  • This movement should be slow and controlled.
  • Ensure good deep breathing.
