Golf: Finders Keepers.

DESCRIPTION

OBJECTIVE:
Putt (roll) the ball along the ground to hit the cones. Players collect all cones the ball
hits during their attempt.

SCORING:
Blue cones 5 points
Yellow cones 3 points
Green cones 1 point
Red cone MINUS 2 points
Each player of the team has one attempt at this game.

Tunnel | Tri Golf Putting Games

Tunnel:

SETUP-UP:
Mark out one or more tunnels using suitable markers. Split the group into teams. Give each team one putter and one ball.

ACTIVITY:
The first player tries to putt the ball all the way through the tunnel. The team scoresa point if the player successfully completes the task. The player fetches the ball, returns it to the next player, and joins the back of the line. The game continues either for a set period of time or until a team scores a set number of points (e.g. first to 10)

Divots! | Tri Golf Warm Up Games

Divots!:

Scatter some cones (divots) across the area, some the right way up, and some upside down. Split the group into two teams - 'Hackers and Greenkeepers' - and spread them out across the area.

On the word 'Go' the Hackers run round turning the divots upside down and the Greenkeepers must turn them the right way up.

Set out the following areas with coloured cones

  • the Tee (White cones)
  • The Green (10 metres away from the Tee 9Green cones)
  • A water hazard (Blue cones)
  • A Bunker (Yellow cones)
  • the area between the green and the T is the fairway
    Spread all the areas out. Then tell the children, Simon Says go to the Green or Simon says go to the Water hazard etc.
    ask the children some questions about where they are standing, or make them make a big splash noise when jumping into the water hazard.

    Bowls:

    SET-UP:
    Use either a yellow ball or brightly coloured tee as the 'Jack'
    Split the group into teams of 4
    Each team needs a putter and 1 ball per player each team needs to mark their balls to tell them apart from the opposition.

    ACTIVITY:
    Players putt their balls alternately in teams of 4. All balls nearest to the 'jack' scores points for the team. First to 21 is the winner
