DESCRIPTION

Attackers pass the ball along the line and defenders must run forward to defend.

Attacking players are trying to move the ball quickly in order to create an opening for a shot.

They can do this through use of fast passes, feints and dummies.

Feinting and Dummy Passing

Encourage your players to drop their shoulder and throw a fake shot with this dodge-master session to give your players more confidence when dribbling in a 1v1!

OFTEN USED WITH...

Passing Square - get to green!:

Blue players pass the ball around the grid.

At the same time the red players moves to prevent the pass to the green player in the middle of the square.

The aim of the game for the outside players is to wrong-foot the defending player and create an opening in which they can play the pass to the green player.

Passing Square:

Players pass the ball in an anti-clockwise direction around the grid.

Players should aim their passes at the cone and the receiving players should step forward to meet the pass and then in turn continue the drill by passing to the next player.

B1 and B2 run forward to R1.
B1 passes to B4 and B2 passes to B3.

- make center shot after they feinted (dummy) as if throwing at the goal
- make center shot after they feinted (dummy) as if throwing at the pivot
- make jump shot after they feinted (dummy) as if throwing at the goal
- make jumpshot after they feinted (dummy) as if throwing at the pivot
