DESCRIPTION

This drill was for practice in a match situation where the team passes the ball through the hands to the winger who runs, a ruck is formed and the backline had to realign and pass the ball out to the other winger as fast as they can, the drill is good for positioning practiced and keep the backline in shape to attack the defence. The width is kept by the cones which the winger has to run through so he cant get sucked in.

COACHING POINTS

It is important that the players have their heads up and arent just watcthing the ball but looking up to see if they have enough width and their line extends to the cones. Also look for when they're passing to use the correct tecnique as when they start to concentrate on other things, technique can drop.
