In pairs 3-4 metres apart roll the ball to your partner who lets the ball go between their legs and sits on top of the ball

First time Overhead Passes over the net

Two players stand either side of the net and pass the ball overhead first time to their partner on the other side of the net.

Set and Switch

Start with the ball with one of the middle players who volleys the ball to the middle player they volley it back to the outside player who then volleys over the two middle players to the outside player on the opposite side as the other players are working the players that have just worked change places and repeat. This exercise is for players to be able to control the ball over differing distances. Again this can either be measured by time or number of good volleys.

Slow Motion Overhand Pass

Volley

One partner catches and throws or volleys the ball moving the other partner side-side so as to be able to volley using good footwork and rhythm to play the ball back to the partner.
