This session will work on your player's ability to make the perfect approach, by using a variety of shots. By changing up spin and direction of shots, it'll make your player's game less predictable and catch their opponents off guard!
Speed is essential for the approach shot, so we'll work on getting your players sprinting to meet that ball. Hitting the ball down the line with precision and power will make it harder for the opposition to reach the ball, and put your player in the driving seat!
What's in the Session?
We'll start by judging your players' balance, with a simple throwing and catching drill - whilst standing on one leg! We then move through some forehand and backhand drills, focusing on hitting balls on the run. By catching the ball cleanly on the run and coming to the net, your players will put the pressure on their opponents.
Create a resolution to develop your coaching confidence by seizing the opportunity to discover new drills, turn ideas into action and seek advice from the coaching community.
