Tennis: Sumo squats

DESCRIPTION

Wide deep squats moving from one side of court to the other.

Feet turned out at 45°.

Lift one leg up and use it to turn 180° so that they are facing the opposite direction.

COACHING POINTS

  • Sit deep into the squat.
  • Knees shouldn't be in front of the toes.
  • Arms in front of them, not on legs.
  • Slow controlled 180° turn to avoid twisting knee.
