DESCRIPTION

  • 2 cones are set.
  • Player starts between the cones.
  • Player jumps outside the cone and lands on one leg. Player jumps back between the cones and performs a 2 leg jump to the other side.
  • Player again lands on one leg and repeats this pattern.

COACHING POINTS

  • The player works on legs’ strength and balance.
  • By performing multiple jumps in a row, player becomes stronger and more explosive and these factors will help their game in all areas on the court.
  • Additionally, landing and jumping using only one leg significantly improves balance which is necessary to compete effectively during a match where a player is forced to play using different stances and positions.
