Field Hockey: Dribble Pass and Move

JUNIOR SESSION: Although a simple skill to perfect, it is massively effective to keep the momentum in your attacks. Improve your players ability to pass and receive whilst on the move.

How to run a mixed ability session: Get everyone working, while some players receive a little extra tuition to bring them up to speed!

Moving back and forth between two cones players make straight and diagonal passes to each other while moving.

White Player 1 dribbles with the ball to the blue cone before passing the ball through the red gates.

Red player 1 receives the ball once it has gone through the gate and then repeats the practice in the opposite direction.

Player 1 starts dribbling, player 4 makes a move to the right/left and there is a short wallpass between 1 and 4. After containing the ball it is passed to palyer 2 and then they start off and player 1 takes their place, and so on.

Player 1 passes the ball to player 2, who lets the ball run across the body and runs with the ball to the next cone. He or she dummies to hit the pass wide but hits it under the arm into the path of player 3 running infield. Player 3 receives the ball on the move and shoots at goal.
