DESCRIPTION

  • Standing as far as possible away from a box top dive forwards to place hands, a shoulder width apart, on to the box.
  • Keeping legs extended bring the hips high to place feet outside of hands on the box in a straddle position.
  • Support places hands on gymnasts shoulders, with fingers out, and lifts controlling balance and forward rotation.

  • COACHING POINTS

  • Support keeps arms extended.
  • Support ensures there is no forward rotation causing the gymnast to 'nose dive'.
