What you say:
I coach a very good under 7s team and my boys love your drills. I think the site is fantastic and I get some great ideas on a Friday night ready for training on a Saturday morning from this site!

Football Passing and Receiving Drill: 3 Player Combination with Defender

    Set up as shown.

The player in the middle starts with the ball. They play a diagonal ball into space so that the player to the right can run onto it.

They then play a square ball, once the defender has committed, to the player far left who plays a 1st time ball into the middle player.

Coaching Points

Make sure the drill is done at pace.

The middle player must begin their run as soon as the drill is started.

The goal scorer should meet the ball at pace.

Ensure that before the second pass is made that the defender is committed to the ball carrier.
