Pitch has 3 horizontal lines across it. Game starts with normal hockey rules, then add the following progressions: Progressions: 5pts for a goal, 1pt for passing (forward) over a line. 1pt for each line passed over (i.e. 2pt for passing over 2 lines). Variations: Use 1/4 or 1/3 pitch. No long corners or 16s - coach rolls a ball onto the pitch. 1pt for passing over 2 lines only.
This game incentivises moving the ball forward by passing. Longer passes get more points. Questions/feedback: Are we mostly carrying/passing over lines? How can you get easy points? (by passing forward) In order to pass forward, what do we need at the end of our pass? (someone leading into space)
