2 attackers facing 2defenders on the edge of the penalty area. 2 attackers vs 2 defender in the central area. 1 servers who must remain in the safe zone until the first progression. The ball is played by one of the servers to any team-mate. The aim then is to set up the play to try and create a scoring position. Once over the off-side line, off-sides to apply. Once the ball is played, the server can join in the attack making it 5 against 4. To progress the session the servers have to stay in the safe zone once the initial pass is made.
Look for movement away from the markers. Good first touch, working with other players, cross over runs, and attackers holding off defenders when marked. The coaches should insist on defenders marking tightly.
