Core Coaching Drill
1 or 2 sided drill
P1= 3 Passers VS 1 tossser
Tosser throws a ball in play, whenever a player passes/touches a ball the other 2 players must move to cover the player that passed by touching thier knee pad. Covering players must then transition back to thier positions quickly. Players goal is to pass back to whever ever their target is standing.
1 or 2 sided drill
P2= 3 Passers VS 1 Live Ball player
Same rules as P1, except players are now working with a live ball. The speed of coverage and trasition must be quicker. Player need to focus on speed along with height of passes. The lower the pass the quicker players must cover and transition. High passes=more time.
Full Court Drill, Ball played over net
P3= 3 Passers and 1 Setter
Same setup at P1 & P2. Now for every 3 live ball passes to setter, setter sets one of the backrow players for a backrow attack to be hit over the net.
Full Court Drill
P4= 3 Passers, 1 Setter VS 3 Passers, 1 Setter
3 passers and 1 setter on each side of net. Same rules for coverage and trsisiton for passed balls. Now instead of 3 passes and 1 hit, points are live. After player passes, setter sets for a backrow attack and boh sides rally in that sequence. Once point is over switch players.
