Athletes will work in two's. In their pairs they will stand on either side of the middle line positioned on the blue cone. On the blue cone they will stand side on ready for a stimulus to be presented by the coach. Each finish line (left) and (right) will be given a name.
The coach will shout one of these names that represents one of the lines. Athletes will then race their partners to the line and catch the other.
This drill tests reactive speed and is perfect for those who struggle to effectively get around the court and also those who reaction time is poor. It also adds a competitive element to it so it is perfect for younger children.
