Split-step exercise

DESCRIPTION

  • This exercise is very helpful for players who need to improve the body rotation
  • Player must hit the ball like this: backhand inthe right side and forehand in the left side
  • While jumping over the box, player must step one feet on it and turn his body
  • When player hits forehand and starts going to the other side, he must step with his right feet, when he hits backhand and starts going, he must step with left feet.
  • Put the low box in the middle of base line
  • Put the cone or box in the middle of the court and command tha player to jump over it while running.

COACHING POINTS

 

  • This is exercise is also very helpful for players who need to do more split-steps
  • Improves coordination and movement
