Same triangle as used in Counter Attacking Introduction.
All players start at the Blue areas, with a ball, and have one player stood at the other two cones. Progression now has Orange player situated behind the traingle, with a Green player at the cone.
Blue and Red will continue to do what they were doing, intended to play a controlled pass to the cone. Orange will continue to take the ball on the counter back to the Blue, butmust aim to get to it before Green.
Each player follows to the next cone, with Green replacing Orange as the interceptor.
Intially ask Green to not aim to win the ball, let Orange ultimately intercept but apply pressure.
-RED: When playing the ball, aim for the cone as target. Firm pass as you would in a game.
-Orange: Time your run and consider your movement.
If too early, Green will move behind for the through ball
If too late, Green will receive the ball.
1st touch continues to be played out in front you. Dribble at speed.
Progession can again be to work on both feet, switching the point of the Red player to the other parallel side of the triangle. Orange would shift onto the opposite side of Green.
