Waves is a passing, supporting & finishing session which is a free flowing end to end shooting drill involving both non-competitive & competitive game situations. This session encourages the players to practice different attacking patterns of play and interchanging of positions.
Organisation Goal at either end. Work in groups of three to score. Go alternately from different ends. Both ends go at once with spare group(s) waiting.
Session Aim Players pass the balls between each other and shooting before cone. Players will initially go in ‘straight lines’ so encourage them to perform overlaps to stretch/move defenders. As above, can progress to getting the ball wide & attacking crosses into penalty area, working on timing of runs and communication.
