DESCRIPTION

  • There are two teams
  • Mark the field with cones
  • One team had the ball. The team with the ball passes to each other & then they create space. The other team has to try to get the ball.
  • The coach chooses a goal for the number of passes (e.g. 10 passes) they have to make.
  • If the team loses, then the number of passes they make goes back to 0.
  • If the ball goes out of the player area, the team that last touched the ball turns over the possession and the number goes to back to zero 

COACHING POINTS

  • One team should wear bibs to stand out more and won't cause confusion for the other team
  • You can make the playing area smaller to make the goal of possessions harder and more challenging
  • To make it harder, if one team gets the goal of possession, then the other team loses a player 
  • You can set the goal of possession lower to 5-6 passes to make the drill go quicker
