The aim of this drill is to enhance the defenders ability and understanding in a 2v1 situation. This will be made possible through the set-up of the pitch and putting three players per pitch. 2 attackers and 1 defender. The two attackers have to try and pass the ball between them and try and score through the cones. (As seen in the diagram to the right) The defender on the other hand needs to intercept the pass or block the shot. The defender will need to use the key points below to stand a chance in not conceding a goal.
