Set-up a square approximately 3x3yrd. Only 2 players are allowed in the square, a defender and attacker. The object is for the defender to keep the ball away from the attacker for 30s on the coaches command.
To do this the defender sets up with the ball at the feet and their body between the attacker and the ball. The attacker has to try to get round the defender to get the ball. The defender has to move their body in response to the attacker to maintain possession of the ball. The drill stops either after the time has elapsed or the attacker wins the ball (kicking it out of the square).
Keep the ball out in front
Keep body between ball and attacker
Arms out to protect
Keep an eye on the attacker
