This drill is used to open space in the defensive line and play the ball behind the defensive line. The attacking players have the full width of the pitch but the ball played behind the defensive line has to be well worked and the attacker has to shoot or else the attackers will switch with the defenders. Well the ball is played behind the attacker can take one touch and then shoot as in a game situation an attacker wont have much time on the ball in the box.
Attackers should use the inside of the foot for both accurate passes and well weighted through balls as well giving the attacker a better chance to score.
When the striker takes their one and only touch they should look to allow the touch to open up their body so they can strike the ball with much more ease.
