Explanation
The ball starts with the goal keeper and he plays the ball out from the back to a defender, attackers must press high and attempt to win the ball. Once they have won the ball they must transition into attack and attempt to score in the goal.
When playing it out from the back defenders must attempt to pass the ball through the blue gates to score a point, once they have played the ball through these gates the possession will restart from the goal keeper.
These gates represent possible places on the field where the opposition can break through onto the attack, if the ball reaches these gates they the high press has been unsuccessful.
Players should be encouraged to make decisions such as when to press and when to delay the play if overloaded. Also they should be encouraged to be organised and use communication in order to complete the task more effectively, players should be questioned on why they chose to use certain tactics or actions to further understanding.
