DESCRIPTION

Setup:

  • set up two goals with goal keepers about 35 yards apart
  • divide players into two groups
  • cones mark a 5 yard long zone in the centre.
  • Player A is diagonally opposite B.
  • an extra defender stands in front of each goal

 

  1. both groups play simultaneously
  2. player A passes diagonally to B. To get past the defender, who plays at half speed. B must execute the following sequwnce: a quick step forward and a fake. B may then control the ball and shoot.
  3. New defenders are chosen are 4 turns.

COACHING POINTS

  • first touch in controling the ball is important
  • quick feet
  • awareness of the defender
  • When shooting focus on accuarcy.
