My objective is to only play in one half of the 11 a side pitch as this drill is solely focused on attacking, therefore this drill will start with the player around the half way line. This will start with the midfielder in the centre playing a through ball into the wide player after he has made an effective movement to get into a space where he can positively affect play. The winger should then look to deliver a cross into the box, where the attacker should be able to finish the chance. After they have done this enough times and are performing it effectively, it can be taken into a conditioned situation, with both teams playing against each other, with extra points awarded for scoring from wide areas.
