Preparation
Take a look at the diagram and set up accordingly. Players are split into pairs on opposite side of the cones, distance set according to ability.
Explanation
Players are expected to pass the ball with the inside of the foot, when receiving the ball they are expected to shift the ball using the outside or sole of the foot to the other side of the cone before playing the ball.
After 1 minute the red players would move up 1 space in order to have a new partner.
Progression
Progressions can include:
2/ 3 touches
Skill used to move the ball to the other side of cone.
Competition using points for accuracy and use of weaker foot.
Coaching points
Clear presentation of the mechanics of passing the ball (ABC)
Players on their toes when receiving the ball
