7v7 to goal with focus on overlap

DESCRIPTION

  1. 40 or 50x36
  2. 7v7 with two players from each team in attacking channel
  3. attacking players must find teammate in channel
  4. one attacking player must overlap in channel
  5. players move tactically and in numbers to the goal for a cross and finish 

COACHING POINTS

  • Patience: if pass to channel is not there, keep the ball until opportunity occurs
  • player in channel can play overlap, find combination, or dribble into grid to goal
  • awareness of the overlap
