Drill 9 - Hurdles

DESCRIPTION

Player to single leg hop over each hurdle and back to centre. Starting with 1 then back to centre. 2 and back. 3 and back. Performing one set and changing legs to perform a full set.

Progressions - Run the player twice through sets. Shorter ground contact time, increase hurdle height

Unpredicted movements - coach shouting out numbers for player to jump to.

Regressions - performing with two legs instead of one. Removing hurdles and placing cones to reduce jump height

Rationale Unpredicted and Plyometrics and Reaction times.
