Set up:
Cone 1: Set up 15 yards away from the 18 yard box
Cone 2: Set up 15 yards away from the 18 yard box
Cone 3: Set up a yard away from the 18 yard box
Cone 4: set up 5 yards by 25 yards away from the 18 yard box.
Station 1:
The player (represented by the green marker) dribbles out from the cone with the ball up the the 18 yard box and takes a shot at goal testing the goal keeper
Station 2:
The green marker (same person as used in station 1) spins around to face station 2 after taking their shot at goal. Then the player lining up behind station 2 takes a touch out of their feet, punches a pass to the green maker (who has previously span around facing them) then the green player sets the ball back in front of the blue marker for the blue marker to then take a shot first time. (the set should preferable be outside or along the 18 yard box).
Station 3:
As soon as the blue marker at station 2 has taken their shot from outside of the box, the red marker places the football on the edge of the box and takes a direct free kick at goal whiles the green and blue markers follow up the shot from the free kick if necessary.
Station 4:
As soon as the free kick is either saved or scored, the orange marker at station 4 takes a touch out and dribbles down the wing to then produce a cross into the box for the remaining 3 players to score.
Progression:
Station 1:
The player could have special targets for example to aim for certain areas of the goal for example shooting towards the left top corner or even the left bottom corner of the goal. You can even tell the player that for his/hers next 3 shots, they have to shoot using a certain part of their foot Eg using the inside of their foot to shot at goal for a finesse.
This station can also to help players at station 2 to progres, can set the ball differently for example the set could be in the air for the the player to run onto it for a volley.
Station 2:
Similar to the progression of station1 in that they can be given targets to aim for particular areas of the goal for example the top corner and also the part of the foot they use to shot at goal for example the outside of the boot.
Station 3:
Telling the player to take the free kick striking the ball with your laces or even to tell the player to aim for for example the top left hand corner of the keeper.
Station 4:
As the player takes a touch out of his/hers feet, the player can perform a 1 2 move with the player from station 3 and then run onto the ball for a cross in the box. The player could also do different combinations such as a pass into station 3 and then the player can overlap the player from station 3 down the wing to then produce a ball into the box.
