6 v 5 v 5 transfer game (even numbers are better) Fun competition.
Orange team starts as defenders. Blue and yellow are in possession. Ball is played into yellow team. They have to make a minimum of 5 passes before they can transfer the ball to the opposite end grid where the blue team is. 2 oranges will enter the yellow teams grid to try and win the ball back as quickly as possible. All they need is to clear the ball out of the grid or make a pass between them. If they do that then the yellow team is now defending and have to quickly get 2 of their players into the blue team grid and the remaining into the middle grid. The blue square in the middle is for the defending team. The channels on either side are a free pass and is worth 1 point. A lobbed pass is worth 2 points and a pass along the ground through the blue square is worth 3 points.
Coaching points - reaction to win the ball back must be immediate, players who aren't the 2 defenders but on the same team need to talk to their teammates who are trying to win the ball back and instruct them, players are applying high pressure and need to press the closest man and ball without worrying about whats behind them.
