this is the 4-5-1 formation we shall adopt during a game when we are defending. when the opposition have the ball in the red area we will not attck and chase the ball. the striker will get into position shown and will doggy across following the ball. by doing this the attckers should get bord with side ways passes and attempt a long ball which we should then win.
when the attackers bring the ball out of the red zone we will the press and harry the ball in an attempt to win it back. first the striker will press the ball with the midfield following the ball and supporting the striker. the defneders will also do the same and will support the midfielders. midfielders and defenders should be talking to each about positioning and runners off the ball
