DESCRIPTION

  • Set up cone sas shown in picture.
  • Player work in pairs.
  • Players jog up on the inside and outside on the way back down.
  • Demonstrate exercise for them to do.
  • Only do exercise on the way out and jog back in.
  • Introduce dynamic stretching.
  • Introduce ball towards the end.

Key Factors.

  • Tempo of activity, ranging from slow to fast.
  • Maintain good techniques i.e balls of feet 

COACHING POINTS

  • make sure that each player has a partner and that they start the warm-up at the same time.
  • When introducing dynamic stretching slow down the pace.
  • Then increase tempo after dynamic stretching.
