DESCRIPTION

  • Set up 40 x 30 split into two 20 x 30 areas
  • a goal is place in the center (shown in yellow)
  • 4 vs 3 in each area. A joker used for extra player.
  • All players except joker remain on their half. Teams must make a total of 4 passes using players on both halves to have a shot on goal. Goalie can expect a shot from either direction.
  • Progression 1: open number of touches. Scoring - 1pt for a goal
  • Progression 2: 3 touch. Scoring: 1pt for a goal, 2pts for 4 passes

COACHING POINTS

  • open body into space to receive the ball
  • head on a swizzle before you receive the ball - where is there open space? Who are you going to pass to?
  • attack open space - can you get into passing lanes? do not be idle
  • pass and find space - use the width and let the ball do the work
  • communication
