DESCRIPTION

  1. This is a good drill for: a team warm up, keeper warm up, shooting with both feet, or for passing & recieving.
  2. Line up players behind double cones with a ball each except the first player.
  3. First player makes a run to one of the outside cones.  The player recieves the pass from the next player in line then dribbles the ball around the centre cone and shoots on net.
  4. Once the pass is made to the runner, the next player becomes the runner but going to the opposite outside cone, recieves the pass, and shoots.
  5. players should retrieve their balls and return to the line for another turn.
  6. To make this drill harder you can have the players use there outside foot of the turn to make the shoot (if you go to the right cone, you will shoot with your left foot,  If you go to the left cone, you will shoot with your right foot).  Add a keeper and or defender.

COACHING POINTS

  • the runner should look for the pass as they enter the turn.
  • the pass has to be to where the runner is going, not where they are.
  • Look before making the last turn for the corner of the goal and shoot solid.
