This exercise works on aspects of the passing game aimed at improving awareness, speed of thought and decision making.
Phase Two is designed to introduce the concept longer, accurate passes and decision making.
Begin with one football.
Each player in a square must touch the ball at least once before passing onto the next square with a pass across the space.
The receiving group then pass the football between themselves before passing down the line.
Rotate the long passing groups every 2 minutes.
Progressions:
Introduce multiple footballs to encourage quick passing and improve decision making.
Additional progressions include using different surfaces to pass the ball between players and squares.
