Wes, Rugby Coach

DESCRIPTION

Creat a line of cones from the upright of the posts. Start with a cone 5m from the post then place one every 2-3m up to slightly over your maximum accurate range.

Place a ball at each cone, start at the nearest cone and work backwards.

Aim for where the cross bar meets the upright.

COACHING POINTS

  • elbows close together
  • follow through with hands pointing to the target
  • start with the ball behind your head
  • start the movement from the feet
  • transfer power from the feet>legs>core>shoulder>arms>ball.

Progress by using a lineout pod for the target for timing of the throw
