DESCRIPTION

  • 2-4-2 stands for the line up of the forwards on the field to allow width to attack.

 

  1. Start from scrum on the left hand side of the field.
  2. All hands out to winger who advances until tackled.
  3. When tackled Fullback is 1st man to ruck as well as openside flanker and no.8 who bust a gut to make ruck
  4. Front row and right 2nd row from scrum make way to middle of field between the 15m line
  5. Blindside flanker and left 2nd row line up wide inside 15m opposite to play 
  6. Backs realign 

 

COACHING POINTS

KEY: RED = FORWARDS

        BLUE = BACKS

 

There are four stages which can all be coach seperately to begin with to allow player to get familiar with positioning and then advance to do in order
