Getting the fly half to make decisions under pressure.
1. Set up a 30m x 30m square.
2. Scrum half set on the outside of the box with ball.
3. Have the fly half and 3 attackers and 3 defenders starting in the box.
4. Make sure the defenders always start 5m away from scrum half and attackers about 10m.
5. Scrum half always passes ball to fly half to start attack.
6. Once caught the ball fly half chooses the right decision with whats in front using any of these;
- Miss - Switch -Chip -Short - Inside - Go myself.
ADVANCING DRILL
- Make it 4 v 4 drill
- Dont let them call a set move.
- Shout numbers that will be attacking with fly half.
- Get them running into grid.
- Give them a count down to get in position before feeder passes ball.
- Change up the defence with backs and forwards to create a miss match.
- Give the defence which defence system to use eg. Blitz
