Rugby Drill Demonstration
|
Description
This simple exercise allows the children to get hold of the basic's of passing and catching whilst moving forward, we're not looking at passing backwards yet. Just getting them to pass and catch is the priority at the moment and then we can focus later on passing backwards.
In 2's the children will line up behind a cone each and make their way forward to the opposite end, whilst doing so at a walking pace they will start to pass to each other and catch the ball with the 'baskets' hand ready.
We will demonstrate what we're looking for but just having them getting to grips with it will be the objective. They will learn to communicate with each other and start to understand how to catch and how to throw.
