The goal of this drill is to have defenders communicate and to stay actively aware of the play in order to prevent the opposition from scoring.
The players will be split into 2 teams. 1 team will be attacking and the other defending. the attacking team will have 3 players on the field at one time, while the defending team will have 2.
Players will line up in their teams behind a red marker. When the whistle is blown signifying the teams to go, the players must first run around the inner side of the yellow cone then around the green cone before entering the field of play.
Once they have run around the cones a 3 vs 2 will develop. If the player with the ball passes immediately this will give a 3 vs 2 on the field.
After 5 mins the teams will then swap roles
