Each player is given a number from 1 to 4.

Coach calls 2 numbers and throws the ball in. The respective players enter the pitch and compete for the ball.
The team in possession must try to score at the opposition's try line.
Team not in possession must defend.
Step over the ball when picking it up.
Defenders to organise themselves. Assess whether they can reach the free ball - if not prepare to defend.
Variations:
Roll ball towards a particular team to ensure easier attack vs defence, rather than scramble in middle of pitch.
1st player to the ball is scrum-half and must pass straight away. Support player to get into receiving position.
