Although the drill can looking confusing, the rul;es are simple. The person in the middle starts and keeps the ball. After starting the player in the middle passes out and follows their pass and the player weho recieves the ball makes a run to get ahead and be in the middle. They then pass to the next available person which due to the following of the previous pass behind that player, end up with the 3rd player. The thrower then follows their pass behind that player who has just made a run into space in the middle as now they have the ball they must be leading the group as passes must be made behind.
As long as players remember to follow their pass by running behind the player they passed to and taking up their position the drill should run smoothly. The can be used to teach concentration and passing on the move in a line formation.
