- Begin with six players in the first box, three on each side. They become the forward pack. Have two players in a split on each side. They become the backs.
- The scrum half calls numbers 1-3 and rolls the ball into the square. The team that wins the ball wins the scrum half.
- Within the first box, two tackles and two rucks must be made. The play must stay within the boundaries of the box.
- After two rucks are made, the ball is passed to the backs. The forwards must support the backs an must be able to insert into the plays. Two tackles must be made.
- Play continues until the tackles are made.
- Rotate one number and repeat.
