Rugby Drill Demonstration

One attacking shape that can be used from broken or phase play. This shape gives a couple of passing options.

Coaching points

  • For passive defence the pass can go across the front and the behind player can join the line as an extra man
  • For rush or fast defence the pass can go "behind" to the runner at the back. He can link with the outsides, or turn a pass back into e.g. a wing or inside back if the defence turns out.
