COACHING POINTS

1.  Making a loud initial call stating you will be the one to catch it. Ensure you keep your eyes on the ball at all times.

 

2.  Have your arms out in front of you creating a tight basket shape for the ball to fall into.

 

Ensure you are positioned side on as this will help prevent knocking the ball on as well as protect you if tackled.

 

3.  If catching the ball whilst you are in the air, keep one knee raised up for protection.

 

4.  Once you’ve landed brace yourself to be ready for contact.
