Description
Set out a small rectangular grid with a gain line marked across the grid.
We are looking to get the defensive line to come up and meet the attack before the attack has reached the gain-line.
Whenever a defender completes a tackle, the attack that was brought to ground joins the defending team.
If the attacker being tackled successfully offloads the ball before they hit the ground the tackle is considered incomplete.
However is the attacker throws the ball away in the tackle, they should be taken off to remind them to take care of the ball, and to do push-ups.
- Points should be awarded to the side that breaks the gain line, to help emphasize the importance of going forward.
